You must have heard of fruit detox, salad detox, but did you hear of Apple Cider Vinegar Detox? The latest cleanse that people try to lose weight is a combination of apple cider vinegar with some spices. It is stated that detox helps people lose weight, reduce cholesterol, control blood sugar, lower blood pressure, boost the immune system, relieve constipation, and regulate the pH of the body.
Apple Cider Vinegar Detox
The principle of detoxifying apple cider vinegar has been going back thousands of years. Some have even claim to be the medicine’s parent. You must use the unfiltered apple cider which still has “the mother” (unrefined, unpasteurized and unfiltered ACV with beneficial bacteria) in it for detoxification. For the gut and vitamins, minerals and enzymes, the mother contains the good bacteria. ACV can be cloudy or dark with the mother.
ACV Detox Plan
Take 1 – 2 tablespoons of raw unfiltered apple cider vinegar, 250 ml purified or distilled water and 1- 2 tablespoons sweeteners (honey, maple syrup or stevia).
Many may like to substitute the mixture with lemon or pepper. To receive benefits, one must consume this regularly for a certain period of time (week or month). Most people prefer to eat it three times a day, waking up, mid-morning and mid-afternoon.
ACV and Weight Loss
In 2009, a Japanese survey show 155 people. Such individuals split into three categories, one group having a placebo, another group having 1 tablespoon of ACV and the third group having 2 tablespoons of ACV. After 12 weeks that people having placebo did not lose weight, while those who took vinegar lost 2-4 pounds at the end of the study.
Satiating is Apple cider cleanse, which can make you lose weight. The acidity of the vinegar can cause low pH and slow digestion. Slow digestion means feeling more relaxed and therefore no binge feeding.
