Authorities Confirm the Coronavirus US Death Toll to 6

The number of deaths in the US from the novel coronavirus increased to 6 on Monday, all in Washington State, authorities said, suggesting the northwest Pacific contagion has taken root. Vice President Mike Pence stated that medication could be available for the disease by the summer or early fall, but that a vaccine would be farther off.

Pence, the point man for the crisis of the administration, also said that the government was preparing to screen 100 per cent of passengers travelling in from Italy and South Korea, two extreme hot virus zones. Five of the six American deaths were from King County, Washington’s most populous state and host to Seattle, a city of over 700,000 residents.
