The death toll in China due to coronavirus rose to 1011 on Tuesday after Hubei province reports 103 deaths. Further, the number of people infected was 42,200 after Hubei’s health minister confirmed 2097 new cases.
As per officials, the new virus emerged last year from a market that sells wild animals in Wuhan. Amid the daily increase of death toll, Chinese President Xi Jinping visited a hospital in Beijing and met the patients. He also interacted with medical workers. Moreover, he ordered the officials for more decisive measures to control the spread of the virus.
On Monday a team of experts from the World Health Organization arrived in China to study the virus and take preventive action to control the outbreak. The team is headed by Bruce Aylward who oversaw the organization during the Ebola outbreak in West Africa in the year 2014-2016.
Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, World Health Organization chief warned people about the concerning instances on the cases who never visited China.
It was shocking when Britain reported eight new cases of coronavirus despite the government’s warning on the outbreak. The government had said that the outbreak is a serious and imminent threat to the world.
Previously, United States President Donald Trump states that he expected the outbreak to disappear in April due to the hot weather condition.
