Madame Tussauds London moved Prince Harry and Meghan’s wax figures, away from the rest of the royal family after the couple announced they had decided to leave their “senior role” in the family.
Prince Harry and Meghan stated on Wednesday that they are going to”step back as senior royal family members” and hope to work toward becoming “financially independent.”
The Madame Tussauds Museum, in reaction to the surprising news, said that the wax figures of the couple who previously stood alongside Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Philip, Prince Charles and wife Camilla, Prince William and Kate Middleton, will no longer appear in the Royal Family collection, CNN reported.
Madame Tussauds said they’re going to be separated from the family. This is to reflect their “progressive new role in the Royal Institution.”
“Alongside the rest of the world, we are reacting to the surprising news. The news of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepping back as senior royals,” Steve Davies states. He is the General Manager at Madame Tussauds London.
“From today Meghan and Harry’s figures will no longer appear in our Royal Family set. They are two of our most popular and well-loved figures. They will of course remain an important feature at Madame Tussauds London. We watch to see what the next chapter holds for them,” Davies added.
So, Meghan’s waxwork reveals shortly before the May 2018 Royal Wedding. Further, It is in a room alongside celebrating their wedding with Prince Harry.
