Robert F Kennedy Family Members Go Missing, Search Operation is On

Authorities are looking for Maeve Kennedy McKean, 41-the granddaughter of Robert F Kennedy, assassinated presidential candidate-and her young son. Mrs McKean and her friend, Gideon, eight, in canoe off the Chesapeake Bay on Thursday evening.

In their search, the Coast Guard reportedly covered 2,275 square miles. The Maryland Natural Resources Agency and the Anne Arundel County Fire Department are assisting the department in searching out the pair. Crews involves in the hunt on vessels and in helicopters.

Ms McKean is the daughter of former Maryland lieutenant governor Kathleen Kennedy Townsend. She serves as a lawyer for public health and human rights and is the executive director of the Sustainable Health Initiative at Georgetown University.

Mr McKean’s Family Live in Maryland Waterfront

Mr McKean told the Washington Post that his family had been living at a Maryland waterfront home owned by his wife’s mother. At 16:00 local time (20:00 GMT) on Thursday, when playing by the sea, Mrs McKean and Gideon “popped into a canoe” to run after a ball that had rolled away, Mr McKean said. According to a press release from the local fire department, two individuals-identified- float offshore several miles 30 minutes later.

The wind in that area of the bay on Thursday night was around 30 miles per hour. This is with waves about three feet tall, the Coast Guard reported. Whether or not the canoe is there, Mr McKean did not reveal. But the Maryland Department of Natural Resources told US media on Thursday evening. It overturns canoe which matches the McKean’s boat description.

So, Tragedy has beset the Kennedy family, an American political dynasty. Also, President John F Kennedy’s assassination follows just five years later. This is by the assassination of his nephew-and of the husband of Mrs McKean-Robert F Kennedy. In August, at the famous family compound in Hyannis Harbor, Massachusetts, 22-year-old Saoirse Kennedy Hill-Robert’s granddaughter-took last breath.
